Some takeaways from the Rock Springs Chinese Massacre of 1885:
• Union Pacific brought in 150-200 Chinese-American laborers, and their families, to a town where they were massacred by former Union Pacific employees. WTF
• There used to be a Chinatown in Rock Springs, WY. It would have had to have been one of the first of its kind.
• Albeit somewhat obscure, I can’t believe I had never even heard of this. I wonder if this is taught in local schools.
• China has been doing things for cheaper than Europe for hundreds of years.
• This happened one day after our CEO’s birthday, that is on September 1st.
